Selection Process for the 2026-2027 School Year

Current ConVal High School Students (9th, 10th, 11th Grade)

School counselors will be presenting course selection information to current ConVal students from January 27-29, 2026.
Following that information session, students should review course selection information with their parents (Program of Studies, course selection sheet for their respective grade) to plan their course selections.
The portal to select courses will be open on or before February 2 for students to make their course selections online. The deadline for students to enter their course requests in PowerSchool is Sunday, February 8. It is essential that students request courses in the online portal during this window.
Students will review their course requests with their Homeroom Teachers on Monday, February 9. Counselors will meet with students, beginning on February 9, 2026, to finalize their course selections.

Current 8th Grade Students (coming from GBS, SMS)

ConVal School counselors will be presenting course selection information to 8th grade students during the week of February 9, 2026.
A parent night for rising 9th graders is scheduled for February 19, 2026, at 5:30 pm, in the Lucy Hurlin Theatre and will include information regarding course selection.
Following the presentation to students, students and parents should review the course selection information (Program of Studies, course selection sheet) with their parents and make selections on the sheet.
Middle school counselors will meet with students to finalize their course selections and enter them into the student information system.
A tour for rising 9th grade students will be scheduled for June. New Student Day (orientation) will take place the day before school starts in August.
